It is said that Mahatma Gandhi spent some time in the elegant Georgian House of Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur located here during his sojourn in Shimla.

Tara Devi Temple occupies a special place for travelers where they have pilgrimage. Located on top of a hill facing Shimla it offers spellbinding vistas of the town.


Christ Church, the second oldest church in northern India, that was built between 1846 and 1857 is one of Shimla's oldest landmarks and is famous for its stained glass windows.


Jakhu Temple which is dedicated to Hanuman is situated near the highest point of the Shimla ridge and offers a magnificent view of Shimla and its surrounding valleys.
